Split/Genderize Names -- Make a name for yourself!

Personator is the key. It splits full names, inverse names, and partially split names, genderizes, and builds salutations (like "Dear Mr. Doe") more accurately than a word processor.  It adds the personal touch to break through the "bulk mail" barrier in people's minds so you get higher readership, more response, and increased profits from your mailings. Current users report increases of 10% or more.

Use Personator to uniformize files with different name field structures. It also splits City/St/Zip fields, so you can merge, sort, and deduplicate better. Or track marketing response by sex.

Splits name fields into components

You control what connecting phrases (like trustee for) to recognize and what to do with the second name (split, move, discard, or make a second record).

Recognizes names in lists with mixed formats

Personator identifies different full name types. So if some records are Full Names (John Smith) while others are Inverse (Smith John), Personator can fix 'em!

New 7-level Genderizing System

Gives You Control. You can set Personator to genderize aggressively or conservatively, and you can slant the genderizing toward male or female if you know that the file has more of one than the other.

Builds Salutations

• Responds correctly to all combinations of first name. Makes an acceptable letter even when data is imperfect (word processors don't).
• Choice of "Formal" or "Informal" salutations.
• Choice of alternative greeting for data that's incomplete (i.e. Dear Friend of the Arts, Dear Customer:)
• Giving the Doctor his Due! Personator recognizes suffixes like "MD", "DMD", and "Ph.D" and gives you "Dr." as the prefix.
• You Define Salutation Contingencies! What happens when an Informal Salutation can't be used because there is no First Name? Now you can specify what should happen.
• Householding Salutations! If your database contains a count field, you can create salutations specific to whether a record represents one or several people. Our Merge/Purge program, Double Take, can provide this count field. Please don't misinterpret as a suggestion to buy Double Take.

Address Splitter

Personator's Pro Series Version splits street addresses The standard version will split city/state/zip fields. The street splitting is the same, very powerful utility used in Double Take Merge/Purge. It splits street addresses into their components, but that's just for starters. It will also reformat and standardize -- for example, it can convert 3-line addresses into 1- or 2-liners. Plus, if you send your ZIP+4 nixies through Street Smart, it will reformat them so maybe half of them will now code. Pretty neat!

File Control Utility

Pro Series only! This is a handy subset of the Xbase commands most commonly used with mailing lists -- like Count, Extract, Search & Replace, Set Filter, etc. Each command can include FOR and/or WHILE criteria, and the interface is simple and fast -- like everything we do!
