TimeLookup is a straightforward utility.You’ll want to keep it on your desktop. TimeLookup is very simple to install and use. After setting up your location, you will see four different modes that will accept input to show you the time at any location.

The “ACT!” mode will automatically display the time for the corresponding contact as you navigate through your database. Just lookup a contact, click on an appointment, or pull up a group and arrow along from contact to contact and you will automatically see the time for the contact that is on display.

Two more modes: Selected Text and Text in Clipboard. In these modes all that you need to do is either highlight a line or lines of text in a Word document, a web page, an email, a spreadsheet, or on your clipboard, select “Get Time” from the TimeLookup window and like magic, you will see the time in your location and the time in the selected text’s location.

Highlighted text can include:

• Abbreviations: Time Zone, State, Country (i.e., CST, IST, CA, NY, USA, UK)
• Time: Military Time, Civilian Time (i.e., 1720, 4:30 PM)
• Numbers: ZIP codes, Postal Codes, Area codes, Country codes, Dates
• Whole names: City, State, Day of Week

Last mode: User Input. Just like it says, you (the user), type in abbreviations, numbers, whole names as outlined above and select “Get Time”. The time in your location and in the specified location appears in the TimeLookup window.

Let’s look at an example:

Suppose you are in California and you would like
to know what time it is in area code 847.

1. Select User Input from the pull down in TimeLookup.
2. Type in 847.
3. Press ENTER

Let’s look at another one:

Suppose you would like to know what time it is in
Paris. You are still in California.

1. Select User Input from the pull down in TimeLookup.
2. Type in Paris
3. Hit ENTER

Voila, this is what appears:
