How Wireless Sync Works

Get rid of those USB cables! CompanionLink Pro offers two-way wireless sync between data on your PC and your phone.

Data is exchange between your PC and phone using CompanionLink's secure servers. Changes to data on your PC are sent to our servers, which then relay this data to your phone. Two-way sync ensures that if data is changed on your phone, the updates are sent back to our servers, which in turn update the data on your PC.

What you need

• Internet connection on your handheld device
  • Regular Wi-Fi (802.11), or
  • Data plan through your wireless service provider
• CompanionLink Pro running on your computer
• CompanionLink's wireless sync service (activate through CompanionLink Pro)
• Free mobile software called DejaLink installed on your handheld (instructions provided during configuration of CompanionLink Pro)

  • WIRELESS: Wirelessly sync data between your PC and iPhone. iClink is a free application (available from the iTunes Store) that runs on your iPhone. It works with the CompanionLink Pro software on your PC to keep your data synchronized. You can synchronize ACT! contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, histories, and opportunities directly with your iPhone. Contacts sync with the native iPhone address book. Calendar and tasks sync with our proprietary applications in the iClink software on your iPhone.
  • USB: With CompanionLink Express, you can sync data with the iPhone using a USB cable (requires MS Outlook and iTunes). Just configure CompanionLink, dock your iPhone with your computer, and click the Sync button. Data is synchronized in the background via MS Outlook and iTunes.
